No Coasting to the Finish Line

It has taken longer to begin this Blog than expected. The delay is on me! But we're cooking now! You can expect several things to appear here for senior adults from Personal learning experiences to Biblical truth aimed at our demographic. Most of all these weekly thoughts will purpose to challenge and encourage us to remain on the field of play and not retreat to the grandstands.

Christian Senior Adults are a treasure of wisdom and experience. While for many, we may not be as physically capable as in times past, we are actually better equipped, especially in our wisdom gained from our experience serving God. Our involvement in God's Kingdom is very important! Following generations have not lived through the plethora of life circumstances Senior Adults have.

So, be encouraged and understand that our western concepts of "retirement" are not Biblically validated regarding our responsibilities to Jesus Christ and His church. Yes, much has changed very quickly in all aspects of life and in most cases, church life! It can be dizzying trying to keep up! Many vital life principles are slowly eroding in our nation. But you possess them: Loyalty; Courage; Faithfulness; Sacrificial Living! The list is actually quite extensive!

So, Judy and I are very excited about this "Seniors With Purpose" Blog. Can't wait to share some amazing God stories as well as Biblical truth that speaks into our lives at this stage of our lives. So check it out each week, at least once a week and often more than once!
